Where Have I Been? + Me Rambling On About Random Stuff

Starting a blog is hard. Very hard. It's been almost three months since I have written on my blog, but it's ok. I have reasons.

Dance - Dance is very busy at the end of the year. I had a lot of stuff going on with dance and I had to put a lot of time into it. I had my concert recently and it went really well! School - I'm only fourteen. I still do school which takes up some time. NaNoWriMo - Did anyone else do NaNoWriMo? This was my fifth year doing it! I did the most words I've ever written, 50,000 words in 24 days. I have no ideas - My blogging inspiration has pretty much been nonexistent. I had no ideas for a while. But it's ok! I have some ideas now, and I am going to continue writing on my blog.

I have twitter by the way. I don't use it a lot, but you should still follow me here.

Also, I am going to start writing more about writing! Like what I'm actually writing and writing tips and stuff like that.

Anyway, that's all on my update. I should…

Types of Book Characters

Each book character is different and unique just like us humans. They come in different shapes, sizes, races, ages, personalities, etc...
BUT however, many book characters can fall down into the same category. Many book characters share many similar traits.
Today, I am going to be listing the more typical types of book characters (because I secretly love making lists).

1. The Chosen One
There's always that one special snowflake who has been chosen to take part in a dangerous adventure. The prophecy foretold their coming!
For generations the people have been waiting for the chosen one to come and safe them from death and destruction!
The chosen one is in way too many books, and they are super cliche. Typically the chosen one may not want to take part in the adventure at first or might even have special powers they didn't even know about!

2. The Enthusiastic Best Friend
I don't know about you, but for me when ever I read a book there is always this one really enthusiastic …

Top Ten Books I Struggled To Get Through

Hello there! Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.  This weeks theme is books I struggled to get through. And for me personally there is a lot! Some books are just hard to get through.
Also, I know it's not Tuesday anymore, but I'm just going to post this on a Wednesday instead #rebel.

1. Fairest by Marissa Meyer Don't get me wrong, I love the Lunar Chronicles. It's one of my favourite book series! But Fairest dragged on and I felt like yawning constantly while reading it. And Levana was honestly the worst character. She basically forced Everett into a relationship with her. But I still like some parts of it because of the baby Winter and Cinder cuteness.

2. Inkheart by Cornelia Funke Inkheart was such a good idea for a book! And I absolutely loved Meggie and her dad. They were great characters who had all the books anyone could ever want. BUT this book was over 500 hundred pages and was slow and boring for me. I really just wanted to give up o…

Hello Readers!

Hello readers! My name is Melanie, I am a thirteen year old writer, artist, photographer and bookworm.

I love Lord of the Rings and Star Wars, but I also like very girly stuff like Audrey Hepburn movies (as you can tell), clothes and the colour pink.

Writing novels and drawing are definitely passions of mine. I've been drawing since before I could remember and I've always loved to tell stories.

Two other hobbies of mine are reading and photography. I read a lot of books. One of the books I am reading right now is The Fellowship of the Ring (surprise surprise).

I also like photography and I am planning to do a lot more of that on here.

On this blog I am going to write about books I read and books I write. I hope you enjoy reading my blog. Subscribe so you don't miss a post!
